JBN Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning

John, the owner of JBN Mechanical, is an absolute gem of a human and a lifesaver! First of all, they are locally owned and operated, John, as I mentioned, is the owner and was the one who answered the phone and worked with me. I called him for a second opinion regarding my HVAC system repair/maintenance when Triangle (SCAMMERS, DON'T USE THEM) came to clean my air ducts and quoted me an outrageous amount (upwards of $50k) telling me I'd need a complete rehaul of my system and ductwork. John came out and got everything working perfectly and told me everything I was told was a lie and they were using scare tactics to con me into spending an obscene amount of money. John even fixed/cleaned up the issues and mess the other company had left and gave me a short list of things to do to ensure my system stays running smoothly for years to come. I highly recommend JBN! Thank you again, John!!

I was changing my HVAC air filter and found water inside the air handler unit. I contacted John, and he helped walk me through diagnosing and fixing the problem. Same day! John is super knowledgeable, helpful, and responsive. A lot of HVAC companies are owned by giant, money-grubbing conglomerates. They try to sign you up for a lifetime contract of service appointments just to change your filters. John is different. He's the best!

Called John for a second opinion on our geothermal system. We had our existing service provider tell us we needed to replace the compressor along with all accessory work associated with the replacement. The estimate was $7000.00! This was the result of a semi annual maintenance call. We used this company to install the unit in 2014 and have had their semi annual service since. John came over and within 30 minutes told us the compressor was fine. And, the unit has been operating perfectly since. We were impressed by John’s experience, knowledge and skill. And most of all his true professionalism! Not to mention savings is $7000.00!

My 2009 Heat pump wasn't heating in the cold. I called John for a second opinion as I had a larger company out first who gave me an outrageous quote to fix. John came out quickly, took the time to evaluate the system and found it to be a simple fix (at a reasonable price). He topped up the refrigerant and the heat is working great. He also followed up a few days later during a cold snap to make sure everything was good. I'll call John again when the system needs replacing and for service on my other heat pump as well. He is honest about what needs to be done, gives you the pros/cons about options so that you can make an informed decision.

I contacted John to help with a leaking HVAC unit. John provided prompt and expert service at a very fair price. More than that, he took time to educate me on the problem and discuss proper maintenance of my HVAC. He is the rare gem of honest, knowledgeable mechanic in a field crowded by dishonest companies with bloated pricing. I'll be calling on John for all future needs. I can't recommend him enough!
